Happy New Year!

Hohoho! Merry Belated Christmas & a Happy New Year! Had a homely Christmas celebration at Sophie's house. Tons of good food, almost stuffed me to death! I'm no picture all talk though :D

I guess that's about it, haha! Well... Not superb delicacies, but it's the people & not the food that count right!? Wahahaha!

Beijing tour! After 2 long months!

Hohoho! I'm back! Plenty of things happened in these 2 months!

Firstly, I went to Beijing in November! Well, must say that the country was indeed heavily polluted & their traffic control was insane! Crossing roads at traffic lights and jay-walking made no difference, the cars held no concern about whether red or green lights! Here are some pictures from my iPhone & Lynette's camera.

Day 3 at Great Wall of China! The view wasn't as magnificent as I thought. Guess our tour guild sucks too much, didn't allow us much time to walk.

These are the main attractions of our Beijing tour, the rest included going to the silk, jade and... 景泰藍 factories, where they encouraged us to buy stuffs.

Not forgetting a Dr. Tea, where we were taught the correct ways to drink different type of teas, as well as the advantages of drinking tea to our health. We went to have lunch at one of the normal peasant house too & it was definitely much better than those arranged by our guild.

The 2nd last day was basically free & easy. We went to this mall somewhere which sells super over priced stuffs! We were told to bargain and reduce the prices to at least 30%! That's how much they marked up!

Disgraceful.

I'm sure most people had seen this video about a 2 years old girl being ran over by a van and lorry and all the 18 passer-by simply turned an blind eye to the bleeding girl lying on the floor.

What really pisses me off is that their own countrymen actually blames that mother for being careless and allowed the accident to happen, eventually making this a world news, disgracing their country.

What kind of joke is this?! Damn, I'm utterly disgusted by their mentally. Those passer-by and people who blames the mother are the true disgrace, not to any particular country, but to humanity.

Children Day?!

Wow, its October once again! Time really flies! And the frequency of me blogging is... Lesser and lesser! Haha... Won't say that I'm so busy that I can't blog cause I believe we can always make time for something no matter what... Its only a matter of whether if it is worth the time that's all...

Haven't been going to the gym. Probably sick of traveling, thanks to school. But school is good, met some nice people, fun to chill out with, although I'm not as much of fun. Exam in 3 - 4 weeks time, hope I'll be ready by then.

In the mean time, let's chill and live a budget life... Probably look for jobs too, since term break will be here pretty soon...

Oh ya, I went to Zouk for the first time in my life for RMIT bash last Thursday night. Won't say I didn't enjoy, but would seriously prefer not be go again cause I feel kind of pointless to be there. Find the music too loud to be enjoyable, lights flicked too often, I don't even dance.

Well... Life is short, party hard people!

Bangkok Trip Conclusion

Hello! I'm back to complete my Bangkok tour entry! Ahahaha! I know, pretty darn late! Been busy with school! Accounting, Marketing & Macroeconomics! Tons of words!

Yes, day 2 at Chatuchak Market! The most anticipated place of the holiday cause I want to get my hands on those cute hedgehogs! Wahaha!

We were there too early, like around 9a.m.

And the shops started to open up at around 10:30a.m.

Yum, yum! Something I haven't seen in Singapore!

Went to MBK after unloading our stuffs back at hotel. Oh! And I saw hedgehogs selling at around $25SGD each! And sugar gliders! Didn't ask for the price for that though, hahaha! MBK was boring...

Day 3 was spent at Platinum Fashion Mall again... Well, girls gone wild! They need to shop till they drop! Love & I went to the 76 or 79 level, can't remember, to check out the view from highest point in Bangkok! Some pictures:

Highlight of the trip! Insects eating! Ahaha! I know its not of a big deal but this is one of the reason I went there... But they tasted pretty weird. One has to try to describe! Ahaha!

That's all for now! Actually I went to Batam View Resort again on the 6th of August! Nothing much to blog about since I've been there countless times... But this was a new experience cause my beloved Lynette tagged along! Wahaha! Ciao!

Bangkok Trip! Day 1!

I'm back from Bangkok! Was a good trip I would say, although I spent most of the time in Platinum Fashion Mall... Chatuchak Weekend Market was interesting, saw many things ranging from animals, food, fashion apparels, etc. You name it, they have it! Hahaha! Shopping was super duper tiring, especially when 19 out of 20 shops sell female stuffs... But still, traveling with 3 lovely girls was a new unique experience for me. Shall let the pictures do some talking.

Reached Bangkok airport, and took a cab to Baiyoke Sky Hotel! Their taxi meter is actually pretty cheap, we traveled around 37km for only ฿370baht(SGD$12), including ฿70baht for troll and ฿50baht surcharge!

Hotel was alright, friendly & helpful staffs, 24 hours restaurant which serves nice and affordable food! I think we got upgraded for free to superior suite due to insufficient rooms. Our rooms were dope! Living room and bed room with walk in wardrobe and huge toilet!

So we unloaded our stuffs and off we went to explode this part of Bangkok! The street was pretty chaotic, vehicles all over, people pushing carts and narrow pathways, but we managed to reach our destination, Platinum Fashion Mall! The reason my lovely girl chose this hotel was because its located near this Fashion Mall.

Lunch! Glass noodle! The spices was so hot that I had to give up my noodle as I mixed too much of it unknowingly...

Fried oyster with egg! This was pretty good.

Pity I didn't have picture of their mango with sticky rice, that's like the best dessert ever! Hahaha! Went back to hotel in the evening, had dinner, took a stroll around hotel area and rested for the day since we all woke up early to catch the flight. That's all for day 1! Stay tuned!

Towards the quarter!

Hohoho! I'm still alive! & its July! This is the month I enlisted 2 years ago! Man, time flies! Haha! I'm currently clearing my leaves and offs. 3 more working days and I'll officially become a NS-men!

A series of events are going to happen this month... Bangkok vacation, back to studying... Hmmm hope I can cope with these.

And about my daily life, nothing much, just eating and having fun all day! Slacking to be exact. I've even grown a real disturbing tummy. Got to start running but its hard... The time never seems to be right. I guess I really need a change!
