Last day of November

Have you ever felt like you are stuck in your current life? Like every expectation has been set. Oh well, just a random thought.

Been a great week so far. On second thought, there isn't any unique happening either. Oh wait, maybe just Thursday. It's amazing how a single day, or rather a single moment of that day, can make the entire week feels so awesome, hahaha! I guess Friday night was alright as well, chilled out with my dear cousins. They said, "cousins are usually the first friends we have as children...". Real fortunate that I have a tight bunch of cousins. Blessed I'd say.
Cousins night out!
So... It'll be December tomorrow. It's scary how fast these 11 months of 2013 flew by. When will I get employed? Hahaha! Someday in the very near future I hope. Oh, and results were released few days back. Guess I can consider myself a graduate now... & if any of you out there who didn't manage to clear all modules, fear not, because there is little (other than appeal) you can do about it other than simply "grit your teeth" and see it through. I'm sure there will be supportive people around to aid/encourage you. (People like me... If you are worthy :D hahaha!) Peace.

Not bulking, just living.

Was at the gas station earlier on and....
Aunty: "how old are you? Are you eighteen?"
Me: "Twenty-four."
Aunty: "Really? You look young ah."
Me: "Haha... Thank you. Hahaha..."
Together: "Haha... Hahaha... Bye."
Damn! Looking young isn't something men should be happy about right? We need to look mature and firm! Probably due to my height :/ oh well, can't be helped.

Gosh! I've been eating so much recently! Totally failed to stick to my 1 week pre-beach vacation diet plan! You'll see why. And this is only a fraction of it.

Last night's dinner at Sakon Thai. Pretty decent I must say, but it just doesn't feel right eating Thai food in Singapore when you know you can eat the same dishes at much lower prices and maybe better taste at Thailand!
One of the classic Thai dish: Minced pork.
Pad Thai! Nothing to rave about.
Need no further introduction.
I like this, very authentic Thai taste.

Pandan Chicken. Prefer Ah Loy Thai's.
But I was greatly disappointed by
their service sometime back.
So I try not to patron Ah Loy...
MUST EAT! Mango Sticky Rice! I can eat 50 of this!

Bored after dinner moments ago and decided to try out another cafe. Penny University along East Coast Road. Been awhile since I had pie/cake for dessert. In fact, I don't even have dessert that often. Maybe that was why these tasted so good...
$5.50 for this Muddy Espresso.
Real small serving, I could've finished it in 1 sip.
I like how it was served in a jar though.
Little things like this fascinates me :D
French Apple Cake. Tasty!
$6 I think.

Banoffee Pie. $6 as well, I think.
Again.
Approximately 2 days from now. Let's go!

Cable car, Underwater World & Dolpfine Lagoon!

$26 for cable car ride from cable car center to Sentosa, access to Underwater World & Lagoon before returning in cable car again! Totally worth it! This offer is valid till 26th June! Go for it now!

Finally get to sit on cable car & visit Underwater World again after more than a decade! Felt pretty excited!

Keppel Bay! The place where elites hang out? Haha!

Resorts World Sentosa! Everything will be just fine once those construction are complete!

Sea Turtle! There is actually a viewing gallery from below.

Seahorse! As elegant as Stallions!

Japanese Spider Crabs! Can't imagine if spiders are of their size, hahaha!

The Leafy Sea Dragons! Best camouflage!

Pinocchio fish!

And I spotted this one & only fish in the aquarium! I might be wrong though... Haha!

The Crown Fish and its anemone!

And lastly, the Jelly Fishes! I wonder whats going through their heads...

Haw Par Villa!

Went to Haw Par Villa last Saturday and I totally understand why nobody barely goes there anymore... The place is extremely exposed to heat from the blazing sun, totally out of place and inaccessible, figurines or exhibits are all broken and worn. Didn't even see a single worker or maybe I couldn't identify them.

Anyway, this place is named after 2 brothers, Mr. Aw Boon Haw and Mr. Aw Boon Par, with Haw meaning Tiger and Par, Leopard.

The entrance! Didn't really bring back memories... Guess I totally forgot about the place.

Nice right? Taken by lovely Lynette, in fact most of the pictures are, mine are too horrendous to be shown :D

This is the 'Tiger-car', previously owned by the founder and owner of Haw Par Villa, and of course the legendary Tiger Balm

& these 2 are believed to escort people to hell after their death!

Oops, think thats called a 'down-pants', ahahaha!

福禄寿! Chinese deities whom represents Good Fortune, Prosperity and Longevity!

Beauty and the pig? Ahahaha!

Is my head small or its ear huge?

Scary cat expression! Hahaha!

Hover hand?

Tried using this to win some 4D that day, but didn't really work, hahaha!

Er... No comment.

& the 2 survivors! Do check out the place if you people really got nothing to do, ancient Chinese heritage can be pretty interesting!

Almost winner.

Damn! Almost get to 过个大肥年啊! Today's 4D 2nd prize: 1366. My number: 1466. Its tough huh? No worries! I'll try again next time! Ahahaha!

Seems like I haven't been blogging for quite sometime... Too much happened or rather I'm too lazy/busy to blog. January is a raining month. Especially the last few days of the month, been raining non-stop!

Anyway, let me start by what I did today. Went to Haji Lane with Lynette, Zhao & HP! Quite a chill place, with all the shops along the road. Its actually the 2nd time I been there, first was 3, 4 years ago, don't really remember. Next stop, we went to Geylang's 126, 搵到食 dimsum for dinner!
Round 1
Not enough! Add on!

It really lives up to its reputation. Thumbs up for this dimsum stall. Total bill $56.70. Not bad, not bad.

At Orchard yesterday for a final round of CNY shopping and I finally bought a pair of slim fit kaki pants which I've been looking up and down for.. Sky started pouring when we were at Cine, & if you know the layout of Orchard, Cine is kinda isolated... In other words we were stucked! Hahaha... So we ended up at *SCAPE and we... Took neo-prints! Ahahaha!

Hahaha, not bad huh? Do they remind you of your secondary school days? :D
Alright, time to rest, so tired! Driving in heavy rain drained lots of my energy! Yaya, I'm weak!

Batam & Zoo

So much happened since I last posted. Once again, its my annual Batam View Resort getaway, from the 5th to 7th November. Not much changes, only higher & more charges on their facilities... Even the table tennis are going for $2 per 30 minutes... Total crap! Didn't do much, watched some DVD-s(Piranha 3D & Reign of Assassins) , ate lots of junk food, basically just chill and sleep.

And I guess the highlight so far was going to Zoo with Lynette yesterday. Our plan of stepping into Zoo at 8:30am was disrupted by some... Okay, it doesn't matter anymore, shall not elaborate on that. Anyway, we managed to get there by 10:30, bought our tickets and off we went, with the blazing hot sun upon us. The tall, huge trees managed to keep us in shade most of the time though. To be honest, I had not seen so many animals awake in my umpteen visits previously. Saw lion feeding, nothing much actually, the trainer just threw some meat into the enclosure, that's all.

Had lunch at KFC in Children World, I was pretty shocked by how small it'd become. Rain started to fall heavily after awhile and we just chilled there, looking into each others eyes :D
After about an hour or so, the rain turned to a slight drizzle and we decided to carry on with our journey at Fragile Forest. Had some 'close' encounter with the animals, pretty fun!
Caught the "Splash!" animal show thingy, nothing much, just an solo performance by Stan the seal. But its back flip did amaze me, hahaha! Had Ben & Jerry's at the entrance area before heading home. A thunderstorm came from nowhere when we reached Khatib.

It was an real enjoyable day. I had fun, but... Sigh... Might post some pictures next time... Till then.

Borsch & LAN Gaming!

I do dream about driving posh cars, living in a huge house and have lots of hard cash, or simply being filthy rich. But the truth is, I don't need them. In fact like most normal people, I only want to lead a happy life, be healthy, get married, etc, etc. - And then it comes down to the entire point of this "conversation"... To be healthy, get married and lead a happy life... We need to be rich! We need lots of money!
Sigh... Sometimes I hope that the world isn't so real.

Ulcers, ulcers, ulcers... Just keep popping out of my mouth. Anyway, had dinner at Borsch Steakhouse @ Serangoon Garden. Pretty awesome place with excellent service, great food, decent serving size and the set meals are totally value for money!
Went to game at HIGH after that. They already had Star-Craft 2 installed! Pretty efficient but I didn't play that. Not a fan of RTS(Real Time Strategy) game. Tried a little of Modern Warfare 2 instead, pretty good.
Lastly,
Happy Birthday to Andrew Tan!

Quick Weekend!

Another week had passed! And if you noticed, the ORD countdown timer on the right had become "0 years"! Hohoho! Looks like its about time I decide on what university and course to pursuit.

Anyway! Ser Chin's advanced birthday celebration on Saturday. As always, pretty fun to catch up with friends, kinda pity though, cause some had to leave early and... Nobody was wasted! In fact, nobody even got close to being high! Sigh... Due to this factor, guess I'll have to rate this celebration as "failed". Ahahahaha! Just kidding lah.
Oh, and after this chalet, I really have to give it to Wii, its an exercise machine! The boxing game actually made my shoulders alittle sore!

Ulcers! All over my lips, 1 on the tongue and throat. Haiss... Why do I always get ulcers? Better sleep early tonight...

& I realise all girls have smooth and soft skin! Why?!
By the way, any reliable dating service to introduce or not? By reliable I meant sure tio one, go on 1 date, BAM! Can attach already this kind. Have? Hehe.

Happy Birthday to me!

BBQ
Thanks y'all for coming! A BBQ wouldn't be one without all you great people! & all the gifts, they are amazing, love them big time. I don't know if the food is good, but the boozes definitely are! Ahahahaha!

Thanks for the stuffs guys! Is there a hidden meaning behind all the blue though? Haha!

Ser Chin showed us his impressive drinking ability and the "un-sober" entertainer award of the night goes to You Lun! Thanks for taking a random "shower", made me laughed my ass off, ahaha! But the biggest appreciation goes to Kam Chuen! For being a great BBQ chef as always, sending us back and... Getting mixers for liquor! Thanks bro!
Well, I think all of us are alcoholics deep inside cause everyone said the red vodka jello tasted the best when I clearly remember it carried the highest vodka content!

Had headache for the whole today, just got better. But hey, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger! So it doesn't matter if you have a serious/minor hangover, as long as you don't die, cause we have to live to drink another day!

I shall support Argentina in World Cup 2010. Want to know why?
...
...
...

Damn right! This is why! Wahahahaha! Just kidding, y'all know I ain't pervy like this :D

Its Happy Birthday to me! & I realised my birthday, 14th June 2010, marks 1 year, 1 month, 1 week and 1 day to ORD! Hahahaha! It'd been a real great weekend so far, but who knows whats awaiting me tomorrow...? And for now, I'm really wondering what shall I do tomorrow...

Oh, and A-Team rocks! Do catch it, love their Ranger & Special Forces tabs :D hahaha!

Birthdays! Birthdays! &more to come!

Happy belated Birthdays to Xing Lun & Zhao Yi!

Celebrated Xing Lun's on Friday night at Sushi Tei. The tiger prawn + Unagi sushi thing totally blown my taste bud off, it was so effing good! & while entering my pin number, I can't believe I had a mental block. I literally stoned there for like 5 seconds after keying 2 of the pins. Luckily I managed to remember haha! After that we took a stroll to The Cathay, grabbing some beers on the way. The rest of the night was spent outside Cathay, drinking & chilling.

The next day was Zhao's belated celebration at Hog's Breath Cafe, Chijmes. Pretty nice place with decent live band and huge projected screen. The steak I had was good as well. Then we headed to a pub at Devonshire Road for a drink before heading home. Thanks Zhao for the treats! :D hahaha!

I had been kinda sick since Monday. Coughs, blocked nose, shortness of breathe... Maybe I should report sick tomorrow :D hahaha!

Chilling in town

Yesterday was good. Went Orchard with XingLun to do what we got to do. Slacked at my favorite Starbucks outlet, I love the ambiance there, feels homey. Met HP after that for some L4D 2 action. Melee is the bomb, do you believe I can chop 100 zombies and only get hit like 3 times? Ahahaha, trust me, I'm good :D slashing through those zombies reminds me of the show Young & Dangerous, haha!

Not so bad Saturday

I finally watched Fame today and its real enjoyable! An interesting movie with awesome songs. Had dinner at ILUMA, The Asian Kitchen. Their roasted chicken is good. I had a plate of ordinary tasting prawn fried rice and avocado ice blend. Went to check out Colosseum, which is located at Level 7. They're having this promotion in October, play 2 hours and get 1 free! And there were girls at the entrance acting as "promoters", walk near and they will approach you, asking if you're interested to play. Okay la, the chicks don't look bad :D

Want to play Gran Turismo on PSP so much but errors keep occurring... But its okay, I'll try harder tomorrow, in fact, I've already started, haha.
I'm so in love with "I will follow you into the dark" by Death Cab For Cutie! The starting verse just keeps repeating repeating repeating in my head!

Sian ah! There goes the second Saturday of October. When can I... Be with the girl of my life... :D

Have fun my friends.

Firstly, I want to wish Andrew and Kenneth, who will be enlisting on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively, all the best and have fun in BMT.

Went to this Korean restaurant recommended by Sophie at ChinaTown today. Although I'm not a fan of Korean cuisine, I would say that the food is decent; compared to other shitty places. Price range pretty similar to typical restaurants like ThaiExpress, etc. Well, actually it doesn't matter what I'm eating, as long as its with my beloved friends, it'll be enjoyable :D haha!

New week ahead! And gosh... Its October already. With everyone's busy schedules and activities, this is probably the period where our friendship is put to test... ... Ok whatever, I'm suffering from mental block now, which means its time to sleep and wake up at 5:20am. Anyway, what I wanna say is, let's just catch up once in awhile and not take this friendship for granted, we've come a long way... ... ... Fine, the truth is I'm so fucking lonely, empty, pathetic and that I need company! Okay!?

Love of mine, someday you will die, but I'll be close behind, to follow you into the dark...

Day before enlistment

The last 2 days before enlistment were well spent. Yesterday was spent eating and singing with Kenneth & Ser Chin @ Thomson in the afternoon before dinning at Manhattan Fish Market with Joni, Kam Chuen and Hiang Peng at night. Was my first time there. We ordered a great deal of food for just the 4 of us; 2 side dishes, 2 soups, a seafood platter for 2 and a giant fried platter. Didn't even bother to finish the fries. Thanks Joni for the treat though.

Today was alright. Caught Public Enemy with Ser Chin followed by Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince with the others. Public Enemy was good, interesting storyline but lack of gun fights, was expecting it to be more action packed. Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince was... Alright I guess. No high hopes! Haha! The problem with Harry Potter movies is that they always use the same boring "flashing-invisible-and-knock-back" spells. And the only 2 wizards that can cast godly, graphic intensive spells(like fire storm, lighting, water, etc) are Voldemort and Dumbledore. Bo hoseh!

Then we dined at Din Tai Fung. Its my first time there as well, fried rice with prawn looked and tasted good, as for the xiao long pao... Nothing special, its either all that I had eaten were equally good or they all were supposed to taste like that.

And just to let those who can't be bothered or what so ever about my life(if you managed to make it here that is), I will be enlisting aka serving the country tomorrow!
From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thanks those that wished me well and asked about how I feel. Hmmm... The truth is... I feel excited yet afraid at the same time. The thought of going to a totally unfamiliar place filled with strangers, it sucks. The thought of having no access to the internet, that sucks too. But the thought of having no weekdays, this sucks the most! Hahaha! If only I had a girl telling me that she will be waiting for me... I'd be in heaven~ Oh, I may twit, thats if I'm bo liao enough to do so :D

We are like strangers.

Happiness is just a shoulder away.

The 1st was a great day. Really, I somehow enjoyed, guess it was was spent with the company of wonderful people. Started with working out at 10am, driving in circuit at 2:30pm, caught "I love you, man" at 7pm, chilled and pool till 2am! Awesome.

Well, " I love you, man" is a fantastic comedy with a decent amount of adult talks, if you get what I mean. Strongly recommended for the sad and lonely like me, it shows love is not everything, "bro-mance" can be a real big deal too. But my life seems to be a totally opposite of it, haha... Anyway, just catch it if you don't know what "bro-mance" is. Its worth the time.

Why do birds suddenly appear? Why do stars fall down from the sky? Cause just like me, they long to be, close to you.

4 random things and many kites

1) I think humans need to be more compassionate. Like myself, I don't feel much sense of sympathy unless shit happened on myself.

2) Everytime I hear the phrase, "holding his hand", images flash through my mind like passing traffic. Images that I have no desire to see.

3) I've been a Los Angeles Lakers fan since 2000 and I know they are going to be the champion again this year! Game 2 tomorrow, hail Kobe!

4) I just completed all 4 movies of Rambo and I wish I'm him. He is brave, righteous and sexy.

After balling, we sat in the coffee shop and Andrew suggested we go kite flying at Marina Barrage. With his impressive skill of persuasion, which I believe he used to win the heart of countless girls, or cheat in some cases, whatever, we decided to head there.

The weather is so fucking hot that we had to cover ourselves with the picnic mat while waiting for shutter bus. Now I know how having a car brings you chicks @#$@&

Went for snacks and AC the first thing we did.

I think there were about 30 to 40 kites in the sky that day. A wonderful sight.

Setting up; Andrew with his "train-kite".

"2 KTs spotted! I repeat, 2 KTs spotted!"

The idiotic ballers that decided to come. I love the sky, its as beautiful as you.

Ya, ya, continue laughing at me, I know I'm a joke.

I'll make a great dad.

A bird, a plane or... Probably just a kite...

This is what I call chill!

I'm glad you can't read minds,
else you'll find me hating you more and more each day.
