Skinny Pizza is for the skinnies.
Went to check out Skinny Pizza at Wheel Lock Place on Saturday and it turned out to be a great disappointment. I think they shouldn't even be called pizza. All I see were crispy thin doughs with ingredients on top. Well, they have this Lobster Pasta which looked pretty decent... Not sure about the taste as we didn't try.
Forgot the names of the pizzas, but this one is basically like curry chicken... Can't even taste the yogurt stated in the menu...

Birthday eve treats!
My baby brought me to eat at The Magic of ChongQing Hotpot at TangLin Shopping Center! A nice place for steamboat! Good ambiance and nice service! Their beef are so nicely sliced that we only had to dip it into the soup for around 8 seconds! And their 8 treasure tea tasted pretty refreshing!
Thanks my beloved girlfriend for the treats! Damn, the calories intake for the day must be sky rocket! Time to exercise! That is if I can get my lazy ass to move :D hahaha!

I am not dead!
Hello! Long time no blog! Hahaha! Check out my ORD countdown timer on the right! Its down to less than 2 months! Gosh... Time flies! & I'm going to be 22 years old in no time! Hahaha!
Should I get Iphone 4 or should I wait for Iphone 5, which is said to be released in September. My contract have already ended since April... What a dilemma...
And I want to go overseas in July! But I'm kind of tight on budget... Can't go anywhere further than Malaysia, sucks!
Oh, I've been accepted by RMIT, hope it won't be too tough! Starting school in 1st August I think... Which means I need a part-time job soon!
Okay, thats all for now, hope that I'll get a camera phone soon and revive my blog like how it used to before I enlisted :D ciao!

Turi Beach Batam 16 - 17 April 2011
Went to Turi Beach Resort at Batam with Lynette on the 16th of April! The reason we went there is because my baby needed a quick get away quickly & I wanted to try out purchasing a coupon which is pretty popular these days, so I bought a coupon from http://www.coupark.com
So my dad sent us to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in the morning, around 8am, collected out ferry tickets and pay $20 each for some tax shit.
Learned from my cousin that the reason this place is called Nongsapura is because the place is a project between Indonesia & Singapore's government to develop the Nongsa of Batam. That's probably the reason why most resorts there uses SGD.
Got a shock when I arrived at the resort as it was so beautiful and well maintained.
Decent toilet. Wasn't expecting a bathtub cause I don't really need one and from my experiences, beach resort usually don't have one, unless its those 5 star resorts.
Well, we actually had some problem with our room. First, the key for the safe was lost, so we can't use it and the sliding door for the balcony was broken and we had to wait around 30 minutes for someone to get it fixed.
They have this real long 'jetty' that extends roughly 200m out into the sea and at 1 point of the 'jetty' has this Island Bar or something, pretty chilling.
Went to Batam Center to get some cheap ass daily necessaries before heading back to Singapore. Great trip overall, looking forward to my next get away!

Haw Par Villa!
Went to Haw Par Villa last Saturday and I totally understand why nobody barely goes there anymore... The place is extremely exposed to heat from the blazing sun, totally out of place and inaccessible, figurines or exhibits are all broken and worn. Didn't even see a single worker or maybe I couldn't identify them.
Anyway, this place is named after 2 brothers, Mr. Aw Boon Haw and Mr. Aw Boon Par, with Haw meaning Tiger and Par, Leopard.
Nice right? Taken by lovely Lynette, in fact most of the pictures are, mine are too horrendous to be shown :D
This is the 'Tiger-car', previously owned by the founder and owner of Haw Par Villa, and of course the legendary Tiger Balm

What do I do?
If you're very tired, but sleeping would make the one you love upset, will you still go ahead? Now I understand how simplicity can sometimes be very complicated.

What have we become?
Do kids these days still play catching, hide & seek and all those childhood games we used to play when we were young? I don't think so. Guess they are all too overly engrossed in stuffs like PSP, Maple-Story, DOTA, Facebook, etc. Gosh, what have technology done to us...
Text messages, online communication programs, social net-working sites like SMS, MSN, skype and Facebook, can't deny that they've brought much convenience to our lives. They have the ability to bring people together & allow us to stay virtually connected, but can they really keep people together? Well... I personally feel that no pictures or videos can be more clear than seeing through our very eyes, no text message can be more comforting than voices and nothing can be compared to hugs and kisses or even the slightest touch. Nothing can be more real.
Check this video out! What Are Words, by Chris Medina, American Idol contestant. So touching that I teared a little, haha!
I caught World Invasion, Battle Los Angeles yesterday! Definitely one of the best movies I've watched. Filled with actions, endless explosives & firepower, last but not least, hell lot of patriotism! Hahahaha! US Marine Corp! I want to sign up too! :D

Blessings to Japan... & us
Finally a long weekend for me! Applied off today and Monday! Muahaha! & today marks 4 months and 4 days to ORD! Hoo-ray! But to be honest, I fear the coming of that day... It will means the day I become financially independent, no more leeching of allowance from the government... Seem like I'll have to get a part-time job soon... Envy all the all the rich man's kids don't we? Ahahaha! Well, I'll try not to :D
And my heart goes out to all the victims either directly or not of the recent Japan earthquake and tsunami. Guess we are all affected 1 way or the other. Seems like men can never stand the wrath of nature... I really have my doubt on how Japan can recover its financial market in the next 50 years, considering the damage it took. Maybe it'll take all the million & billionaires in the world to donate a quarter of their fortune and all the construction workers from Singapore to help rebuild their destroyed properties.
Not forgetting the nuclear plants and leakage of radiation problem. This is what I'm really concern of. Makes me wonder if I should continue saving money and pursuing higher education since we are all gonna be affected in the near future and eventually develop cancer and die. Might as well spend as we earn and live our lives to the fullest. Muahahaha!
Ok, just kidding. With all the brilliant minds in the world of our time, I'm sure a solution will be brought up if things really get out of hand...
I want to watch World Invasion: Battle LA now! Now! Now!

Random thoughts
We should never be too quick to judge, else we won't have time to love.
There is always a part of us that admire certain things and wish to be like them. And there is a part of these people who will work hard towards it, while another just continue admiring, doing nothing about it. But I guess its subjective. I can like and admire many things, but there might just be 1 that I'm really interested in. So... Yeah, each to its own!
Hmmm... 4 more months to ORD. Wonder what awaits... Shall update more when they strike me.

Done with duty!
Had a pretty tough day at work today. Right after my 24 hours duty, with 6 hours of interrupted sleep, I went on to work for like 8 hours straight... Feeling so sticky now, going to take a shower soon.
Supposed to be at the gym now, but I feel kind of tired and soft... Sigh... I'm such a typical failure human, wants to make a change so badly but can't find the will to do so. Seems like my abdominal will be united real soon :D
My new watch! Most girls feel that this watch cannot make it, but guys said it's not bad, unless they all lied to me :D
I totally got a thing for watches now... Thinking of getting another one with white dial and black leather strap. But... Kind of tight on cash again, hahaha! I really wonder why...
Thats all for now! Another tough day tomorrow and hopefully I can take off on Friday! Hehehe...

Dilemma
Finally! Weekend will be here in a few minutes time!!! I'm on duty this coming Sunday though, wahahaha! Tough life huh?
I'm in a dilemma. Should I go for RMIT's Bachelor of Business (Marketing), UOL's Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Accounting & Finance or Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Management?! The thing about RMIT is that its more project orientated and doesn't have Honours... I think I'm more of the "study-hard-end-of-year-exam" kind of person...
But at the same time, I'm afraid I can't cope with UOL as its said to be pretty tough... Hmmm... Guess I'll get answer soon :D

Valentine's Day 2011, USS & failure-me
I spent my first Valentine's Day with beloved Lynette this February 14. Well... Had to admit that it wasn't a splendid one, kind of budget. Had dinner at Chomp Chomp and headed to her favorite place to enjoy some breeze. Shall not disclose where is it since my dear girl enjoys a considerably large personal space of her own :D
I love this picture! Look at the naughty look on her face, ahahaha!
Today was supposed to be a great day, after guard duty, slept for like 9 hours straight, not much work to do, fall out 5 minutes earlier and went gym after dinner. But somehow, I don't feel happy. I feel like a failure, a disappointment as always.
I love this picture! Look at the naughty look on her face, ahahaha! And I need to decide on what course to study soon... My choice of university is SIM, UOL, but I can't decide on the course... People ask me what is my interest in, I really got no idea. I'm lost.
Oh, and we went to Universal Studio on Sunday! We, consist of, my cousins & Lynette! Don't have much picture as we were busy playing with the rides. And I can't believe I sat on the Battlestar Galactica... It was a crazy ride! But fun, do try it out!

Keep moving forward
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me or nobody is going to hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it is about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much can you take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!" - Rocky Balboa
I had Nando's just now & on my personal record, it sucks! The chicken feels so overcooked, stiff and dry... So whats the hype about this restaurant? I've got no idea...
Valentine's round the corner, what should I do? I've got no idea either...
Life is tough. And its tougher when you are not born in a silver spoon household. But its okay, I'll still live.
